Can't imagine...

I've been reading the news before bed. I just read a report from people in some tent cities here. People were quoted as saying that they didn't have money to buy the soap the aid workers were telling them they needed to wash their hands. Other people said they had no where to get drinking water. As Gertrude says, "can you imagine that."

  2. How accessible is soap? I mean, if you have money?

  3. Deb, I hear different reports. Some people say they can't find clorox and such here. That hasn't been my experience. I picked some up yesterday for our orphanage. I haven't actually looked for bar soap here, but I can check at the market this morning when I head out with my team and let you know.

Lindsey comes on Thursday, and she's been collecting stuff for the Haiti Mission Project. Hopefully Friday we'll be able to get some more supplies out to our neighborhood. Hopefully there are no new spikes in cases between now and then.

If I can locate soap for a not ridiculous price, I'll let you know. I've never had to buy that here before.

    Thanks!
